EASTON, PA. MB Healthcare Consultants LLC announces that the Delaware Division of Health Care Quality, Office of Health Facilities Licensing and Certification, has approved the Medication Administration Course for PASA Direct Care Workers.
The Medication Administration Course was developed to address the requirements of state regulations for the administration of medications by Direct Care Workers providing services to consumers in the home setting.
“Medication Administration” means the process whereby a single dose of a prescription or non-prescription medication is given to a consumer by a direct care worker. The responsible caregiver must provide prepackaged medication and provide the direct care worker with written instructions regarding the administration procedure.
The program is available in multiple formats. The course can be delivered using the state-of-the-art on-line education platform from Nevvon (https://www.nevvon.com), a global healthcare education company with an advanced e-training platform designed to simplify education for direct care workers. The program can also be purchased and delivered directly by the agency, following the state rules for course administration. Upon successful completion of the course, the direct care worker is qualified to provide the prepared medication(s) to the client.
